Shameful Act: Couple Jailed For Murdering Their Daughter In Sipi

Two people have been thrown into police custody for the unthinkable act of murdering their own daughter.

The Sipi Police managed to arrest Cheptoek Dan and Chebet Rispa, residents of Kapchesombe village in Gamatui Parish, Sipi Sub-County, Kapchorwa district.

The alleged crime took place on September 7 of this year when the suspects are said to have subjected their stepdaughter, Chelangat Faith, to torture, leading to her tragic death.

This news has left the community in shock and sorrow.Following the alleged crime, the suspects managed to escape and went into hiding, evading authorities for an extended period.

However, their attempt to escape justice was cut short when, after months of laying low, they decided to return home to celebrate Christmas.

Little did they know that the police, using their intelligence, had caught onto their trail.

Monday marked the end of the suspects’ escape as the police successfully arrested Cheptoek Dan and Chebet Rispa, bringing them into custody.

Now, the community awaits answers and justice for Chelangat Faith.

The suspects are currently being held at Kapchorwa CPS as the police conduct a thorough investigation into the distressing case.

The community is grappling with the harsh reality of this tragedy, emphasizing the importance of understanding and preventing such unfortunate incidents within families.

As the investigation unfolds, the hope is that the truth will emerge, providing closure to the community and justice for the young victim, Chelangat Faith.
