Miss Uganda Hannah Karema Among the Top 10 Most Beautiful Ladies in the World

Hannah Karema, Miss Uganda 2023/2024, has secured a coveted spot in the top 10 finalists of the “Beauty with a Purpose” segment at the 71st Miss World event held in Mumbai, India. Her journey to India began last month, and since then, she has been a shining beacon of hope, proudly uplifting the Ugandan flag on an international stage.

Expressing her excitement and gratitude, Hannah Karema shared, “Thrilled to share that I’ve clinched a spot in the top ten of Miss World Beauty with a Purpose! Grateful for this opportunity to make a difference on a global stage. Thank you all for your unwavering support.“

This accomplishment marks a significant moment for Uganda in the Miss World competitions. The last time Uganda reached such heights was in 2018 when Miss Uganda Quiin Abenakyo was crowned Miss World Africa. Abenakyo’s exceptional performance in the 2018 contest, particularly excelling in the head-to-head challenge and securing a place in the Top 5 overall, marked a historic moment as the first Ugandan to achieve such recognition in this prestigious pageant.

Established in 1951 by Eric Morley in the United Kingdom, Miss World stands as the oldest international beauty pageant. Following Eric Morley’s passing in 2000, his widow, Julia Morley, co-chaired the pageant. Alongside Miss Universe, Miss International, and Miss Earth, Miss World is recognized as one of the Big Four beauty pageants.

Managed by the Miss World Organization, the annual Miss World Finals have grown into one of the largest global competitions. Since its inception, the Miss World organization has raised over £1 billion for children’s charities, supporting disabled and underprivileged children worldwide. With franchises in more than 100 countries, Miss World serves as a platform to empower young women and motivate them to create or support meaningful charitable causes globally.

The “Beauty with a Purpose” initiative, integral to Miss World, inspires young women to champion important charity causes worldwide, reflecting the pageant’s commitment to social responsibility.

Congratulations to Hannah Karema for her outstanding achievement! Her success not only shines a bright light on Uganda but also serves as an inspiration to young women across the country and beyond. Let us continue to follow her journey as she continues to make waves at the Miss World 2023/2024 event! We will keep you posted on her journey and further updates.
