In Kabughabugha village, Rukoki sub-county, Kasese district, the Local Council One court has imposed a fine of nine goats on one of its own members, Mr. Zeverio Mugisa, the area vice-chairperson, for allegations of adultery.
The accused, who pleaded guilty, was charged with committing adultery with the wife of Edward Kighoma, a casual laborer in Mbarara city. Tsongo Gideon, the secretary for youth, issued a warning to local leaders in Kabughabugha village, emphasizing the need to avoid engaging in adultery.
In a separate incident, a man found unconscious and left by the police at Kasese Municipal Health Centre Three has been identified as UPDF Private Ainembabazi Alex. Lt. Col. Frank Kaweru, the commander for Hima training school in Hima town council, Kasese District, confirmed the victim’s identity.
Allegedly, Ainembabazi was assaulted by unidentified assailants at Secret Bar in Hima town council. Despite earlier allegations of theft, Mr. James Mwiruwabo, the Municipal in charge, wished a quick recovery to the UPDF officer as he was transported by a UPDF ambulance for specialized treatment.
