Medical Superintendent Loses Job for Fighting Woman Selling Chapati in Hospital

A Medical Superintendent has been discharged of his assignment as Masindi Hospital Superintendent for fighting with a female Chapati seller in the Hospital premises.

Dr. Katusiime Vincent was seen fighting a woman inside Masindi Hospital premises in a video that went viral on Social Media early last week.

In response, the Masindi District Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), Phiona Sanyu withdrew Dr. Katusiime’s appointment as Medical Superintendent in a letter dated 17th April, 2024.

According to sources within Masindi Hospital, Dr. Katusiime had deployed his wife to manage the Hospital’s Canteen and was thus bitter to see this woman also selling Chapatis in the hospital, something that could reduce his wife’s sales.

He then ordered for the confiscation of the unnamed woman’s chapattis and when she came to claim for them, an altercation ensued leading to a Physical fight between the two.

Sanyu has now ordered Katusiime to revert to his former position of Medical Officer and hand over office in accordance with the Public Service Standing Orders with immediate effect.
