Tragedy Strikes Bunyangabu: Landslides Claims Four Lives After Heavy Downpour

BUNYANGABU – A devastating landslide triggered by a heavy downpour this afternoon has claimed the lives of four individuals in Bunyangabu. The victims include two adults and two pupils who were seeking shelter from the rain.

The deceased adults have been identified as Bira, aged 37, and Kabugo, aged 25. The young victims were Musoki, an 11-year-old P.2 pupil, and Mumbere, a 4-year-old baby class student.

The incident occurred when the two houses they were sheltering in collapsed due to the landslide. The heavy rain loosened the soil, causing a massive slide that brought down the structures.

In addition to the fatalities, two other individuals were critically injured in the incident. They were rushed to a nearby hospital for immediate medical attention. Their identities and current conditions have not yet been disclosed at this time.
