Security Agencies Arrest NUP ‘General’, Seize Military Attire

In an intelligence-led operation, security agencies have raided the residence of Twinomijuni Anthony, also known as Bobi Young, in Mutungo Zone II, Nakawa Division, Kampala. The operation, which took place earlier today, led to the arrest of the suspect and the recovery of various items resembling military gear.

Patrick Onyango, the Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson, confirmed the incident.

“Upon searching the premises, we recovered ranks resembling those of a UPDF 4 Star General, a walkie-talkie, berets resembling those of military police, and two pairs of desert military shoes,” Onyango stated.

Authorities have charged Twinomijuni Anthony with illegal possession of government stores and inciting violence.

Onyango confirmed that the suspect has been handed over to the Joint Anti-Terrorism Taskforce (JATT) for further investigation and management.

The operation is part of our ongoing efforts to ensure the safety and security of our nation.
