Police name goons who shot dead Ndiga clan leader

Police have revealed the identities of two of the three assailants allegedly involved in the assassination of the Ndiga Clan leader, Daniel Bbosa.

Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga has identified one of the deceased’s assailants as Enock Sserunkuuma, a resident of Lungujja and the other is Noah Luggya, who is undergoing treatment at Mulago National Referral Hospital.

Both Sserunkuuma and Luggya are from the Ndiga clan. The duo allegedly together with another suspect still at large attacked and shot dead Bbosa dead inside his car near his home in Lungujja parish, Rubaga division, Kampala on Sunday.

They tried to get away on a motorcycle but they were pursued by residents who lynched Sserunkuuma while Luggya survived and was rushed to hospital.

Enanga explains that a CT scan conducted on Luggya revealed no fracture and he is currently conscious and under the guard of Kampala Metropolitan Police. “We expect our teams to get very good information out of him as investigations continue,” Enanga noted.

Enanga expressed gratitude to the community, especially Boda boda riders, for their courage in pursuing the assailants. The third suspect managed to escape and went into hiding, but the gun and motorcycle used in the crime were recovered.

The motorcycle, with its original number UFX 854F, was found with a fake number plate, UEX 754E. Enanga mentioned that the motive behind the murder has not yet been determined, and detectives are retrieving CCTV footage from the area for any valuable information.

The gun used in the crime has been submitted to ballistic experts for analysis.

Police confirmed that the widow, Glades Bbosa, and their maid, Peace Nambaale, who were with the deceased in a Land Cruiser, are in good condition.
