Businessman Survives Brutal Attack During Shs 8 Million Transaction In Nateete

The Nateete Division Police are currently probing a shocking case of attempted murder that resulted in severe injuries to a businessman. The incident took place on the evening of May 13, 2024, around 8:00 p.m. at Bashir Grain Millers in Nateete Ku Taano.

Turyamuhaki Sam, a 55-year-old resident of Kabawo Zone in Lubaga Division, was reportedly assaulted by an employee at Bashir Grain Millers during a financial transaction. Turyamuhaki was in the process of verifying a sum of 8 million shillings when Kiiza Ashiraf, an employee, entered the office carrying a sack. Suddenly, Ashiraf brandished a machete and a hammer, demanding the money.

In the ensuing struggle, Turyamuhaki sustained serious head injuries. Bystanders intervened, subduing the attacker, and Turyamuhaki was given medical care.

ASP Luke Owoyesigyire, the Deputy Public Relations Officer for the Kampala Metropolitan Police, confirmed that they are investigating this attempted murder case. He added that the weapons used in the assault have been recovered from the scene and CCTV footage is being examined to assist in capturing the suspect who escaped post-attack.

The Kampala Metropolitan Police is appealing to the public for any information regarding the whereabouts of Kiiza Ashiraf.

In the statment you said the attacker and turyamuhaki were given medication. Now how did the suspect escape
