Ever since singer Eddy Kenzo revealed that he has a child with energy state minister Phiona Nyamutoro during a performance at Comedy Store in Kampala on Idd Day, public interest around her has increased.
Towards the back end of 2023, during an interview with a local television station, Kenzo, known to have two daughters, surprised many when he revealed that he also had a son. This raised questions about who the mother was. It’s not clear if she is the one.
On April 19, while appearing on a TikTok live engagement, netizens expressed interest in knowing where Nyamutoro comes from. Some had claimed that since she has ‘toro’ in her name, she must be from Toro region.
“Nyamutoro is an Alur name, meaning daughter of joy. I come from Nebbi,” said Nyamutoro, who also represents the youth in Parliament.
During the TikTok live, she was asked how Kenzo is and she happily responded that he is doing great.
