Three Armed Robbers Arrested Over Fatal Shooting Of Security Guard

Three individuals suspected of armed robbery in Kampala have been arrested by the police following the tragic shooting of a security guard at a Kabuusu forex bureau in Rubaga Division.

The suspects are believed to have fatally shot Peter Agama, a guard from Wolves Security Group, who was stationed at the Banxele Forex bureau’s Kabuusu branch. After the incident, which occurred on Tuesday night, they fled the scene with his firearm.

The local police, under the jurisdiction of the Kampala Metropolitan Police (KMP), promptly chased down the suspects, leading to their capture in the Kawaala zone at Premier Betting.

KMP’s deputy spokesperson, Luke Owoyesigire, confirmed in a statement that the suspects, Hussein Sebuma (also known as Obote), David Dumba, and Abdullah Jumah, are now in police custody.

Owoyesigire also mentioned that two firearms were recovered, one with the registration number UG PSO 56 4000868 12452 containing 13 rounds, and another, suspected to have been used in the crime, loaded with 10 rounds.

The body of the late security guard was discovered with three bullet wounds.

This marks the second incident of gun violence in Kampala within a month, the previous one being the assassination of Joseph Bossa, the leader of the Ndiga clan, in Lungujja.

It is reported that the alleged shooters were on a motorcycle at the time of the attack.
